Seriously…Seriously!! (Via Devin Faraci at Badass Digest.)
Look, I get it. I’m not the target audience for this thing. I’m not a Christian and I have no great problem with unmarried people having sex. (Especially when I’m one of them.)
On the other hand, I certainly have no beef with anyone trying developing films for a targeted demographic. There’s an audience that believes that Hollywood is ignoring them and there’s a section of film makers that are trying to fill that niche. Love or hate “The Passion of the Christ”, Mel Gibson knew his audience.
On the other hand, this looks like a Judd Apatow picture made by people who hate Judd Apatow pictures but covet his box office numbers. It puts one in mind of Mark Twain’s famous quote about women who swear, “They know the words but not the music”.
Oh, and guys. Free piece of advice. You actually make the film, lose the Ted Haggard cameo. Creepy.
