Welcome to 2010: Let’s roll with the new!

New Year’s Resolutions.
Don’t believe in them.  Can’t abide them. You make them and then when you don’t do them, you drive yourself nuts.  You vow to lose fifteen pounds and the next thing you know, you’re eating a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream, crying like a…well, never mind what you’re crying like.  The point is there is crying and Ice Cream and those two should never go together.
However, that doesn’t mean I can’t set some goals for the new year and the biggest one is this…
MAKE MORE STUFF!
Blogging is a nice outlet but it’s topical, ephemeral.  Generally, short shelf life.  The challenge this year is to come up with a few scripts for shorts and if possible, a feature script.
That also feeds into the YouTube Channel.  Since killing the web show, the output was been sporadic at best.  The original intent was to create comedy shorts and develop my film making chops but that intent seems to have fallen by the wayside.  Well, that gets pushed up front.  Hopefully, in the next few weeks, I will start posting actual shorts on the channel again.
As far as the blog goes, I’ll still be dealing with politics (It is an election year, after all.) But I may also start writing about film more.  It is my first love and it is the thing that may keep me sane this year.  So we’ll see how that goes.
So, stay tuned. From here on out things will hopefully get more interesting.
